You Gotta Know is a series of articles from NAQT that highlights a category and the list of topics that have beren determined to be "very valuable to know" for scholar bowl. Dazed magazine posted this article in 2020, a look back at the previous 15 years of YouTube. Going back through it, I was amazed at how many of these videos have come up in questions in the past couple of years. If anything, it’s worth it just to listen to Rebecca Black’s “Friday” one more time. Here’s the link.
AFI's 100 Years Series
Starting in 1998, the American Film Institute began releasing annual lists celebrating the first century of American movies. Some of them could be valuable for study, and have been recommended by several top college scholar bowl players. Here’s the entire list, and then here are direct links to the ones that are probably best for studying:
